Quality, Style, Affordability. Sierra Designs Has You Covered for Fall 2017.

January 26, 2017

Boulder, CO – Sierra Designs, the Colorado-based brand known for innovative outdoor products, is proud to unveil its stellar new apparel line for Fall/Winter 2017. This robust collection combines Sierra Designs’ forward-thinking design with the brand’s founding commitment to creating high quality, functional gear at prices everyone can afford. Of the 13 new pieces coming out this fall, 8 will retail for less than $100.

“This line really takes us back to our roots as a company,” says Stephen Barnes, Senior Director at Sierra Designs. “Sierra Designs was founded around the concept of quality gear that pushes ahead of the pack while remaining affordable, and this collection perfectly captures that spirit.”

The new line features 3 collections: Heritage, Insulated and Rainwear. Each group offers unique features and style that transitions from trail to town, with prices ranging from $29 to $169. Key pieces are highlighted below.

Heritage Collection:

The new 60/40 Parka is the modern reimagining of the most iconic apparel piece in Sierra Designs’ history. This latest rendering includes double layer construction of the hood, shoulders, sleeves and body with an Era 60/40 shell (60% cotton, 40% nylon) + DWR finish. A Taffeta drip liner will protect you from the elements, along with a full zipper and snap storm flap. Two chest cargo pockets and two hand warmer pockets offer plenty of space for all your essentials, while the branded leather patch detail on the sleeve adds a stylish and nostalgic touch. MSRP: $109

Insulated Collection:

The insulated line gives customers the option of going with Sierra Designs’ patented DriDown or synthetic down fills in both hoodie and jacket styles.

The Tuolumne Jacket is the lowest priced tech-based synthetic down jacket on the market at just $99. The Tuolumne features FireBall synthetic down with a 40D Shadow Rip polyester shell. A drop tail design offers extended coverage and warmth, while soft bound interior seams increase comfort on the go. This jacket also features interior kangaroo pockets, as well as two zippered hand pockets that can stow the garment.

The Whitney Hoodie offers style and warmth with 800 Fill DriDown insulation, along with an insulated yoke and zippered chest pocket. Like the Tuolumne, the Whitney Hoodie features two zippered hand pockets and an inside kangaroo pocket, and the hoodie stows into the zippered pocket. MSRP: $169. The Sierra Jacket offers all the insulation and features as the Whitney, without a hood. MSRP: $159

Rainwear Collection:

The Neah Bay Jacket is a modern update to the popular Hurricane Jacket, constructed of a unique new material that offers mechanical stretch so the jacket moves with you. The Neah Bay is highly breathable while remaining waterproof and lightweight, and offers a softer handfeel than traditional hard shells for superior comfort. Other key features include fully waterproof taped seams, two zippered front pockets, a drop tail design for extended coverage and an adjustable hood and cuffs to seal out the elements. MSRP: $89
