“We wanted to create a shoe that women would want to keep on all the time because it’s so comfortable and versatile,” commented Juliana Sanfelici, Senior Women’s Footwear Designer at OluKai, “The Miki Li’s unique design and leather hints allows her to express individuality and sense of style, while meeting fitness and daily routine needs.”

The distinctive Miki Li, which means “Active, quick lace” in Hawaiian, was designed with the elements in mind. It incorporates Hawaiian-inspired colors and a stretchy textile upper section that forms a sock-like fit as well as wet grip rubber and razor siping, making it water friendly and action-ready. The shoe’s soft-heathered interior jersey lining is ideal for barefoot wear, while hints of leather add subtle sophistication. The design incorporates OluKai’s signature Drop-In Heel®, which offers shoe and slide functionality, making it a must-have for any active, adventurous woman.

OluKai is looking for the woman who embodies the Miki Li spirit, so the brand is launching a nationwide contest in search of her. Women are encouraged to nominate a friend, family member, co-worker or anyone important in their life, to win a pair of Miki Li and a $500 gift card to spend on an “adventure day.” The contest will launch on OluKai.com April 23.
