On March 10, 2018 Travelon takes home the coveted Global Innovations Award for Product Design and Innovation Excellence with its new patent pending LockDown Cut-Proof Bag
Saturday evening, March 10th at the 2018 IHA Innovation Awards Gala, from among 500 entries ranging from well-established brands to new brands, Travelon won the IHA Global Innovation Award (gia) Competition for Product Design and Innovation in the Home Organization and Storage Category. Representing Travelon was Don Godshaw, Travelon CEO.
“It is an honor to be counted among such a prestigious group of companies representing the highest level of product design and innovation,” said Don Godshaw. “At Travelon, we strive to design innovative products that make travel easier and safer. With the creation of the LockDown Cut-Proof Bag we feel we have reached further, creating a product that not only answers travel safety issues, but also an important need for everyday safety in the context of most peoples lives today.”
The Travelon Anti-Theft LockDown Bag prevents thieves from getting to important valuables. With features like a cut-proof strap, our cut-proof SafeTex body material and one-piece construction, the LockDown Bag locks to a stationary object to keep valuables safe on-the-go or at home. Unlike a traditional safe that requires installation, the LockDown Bag can go with you anywhere. The LockDown bag comes in two sizes: medium for essentials like a phone, keys, passport, jewelry and wallet; large for bigger items like an iPad®.
“Congratulations to these winners of the IHA Global Innovation Awards for product design; they are excellent representatives of the cutting-edge innovation and creativity that is driving the housewares industry today,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president & CEO. “Our world-renowned gia program is the ultimate awards event in the industry, honoring excellence in both housewares retail and product design.”
The 2018 International Home + Housewares Show features more than 2,200 exhibitors including over 400 new companies and 60,000 total attendees from around the globe.
