Aventura Debuts New Brand Look for Spring ’19
June 25, 2018
New logo aligns with brand’s continued dedication to clothing with conscious origins and the expanded sustainable collection in Spring ’19
Reno, NV – June 25, 2018 – Women’s sustainable clothing company, Aventura, will have a fresh look in Spring of 2019 with a new logo that speaks to the brand’s mission of making a difference in the garment industry and communities around the world. This new logo will coincide with the launch of the Spring ’19 collection with 48% of styles made in Fair Trade Certified™️ factories.
Aventura’s new ‘flower’ icon pays tribute to the original Aventura logo that was designed in 2006 when the company started. This new icon is a stylized version of a shape found throughout history, science and nature, known simply as the ‘seed of life’, and is a symbol of creation. For Aventura, this icon represents the connections that life weaves through all beings and how we are all interconnected.
“We feel this new logo represents the conscious choices we make as a company in using sustainable materials and working with Fair Trade Certified factories,” states Tom Williamson, VP of Sales and Marketing at Aventura Clothing. “Our decisions directly affect the Earth and the people around the world because we are all connected.”
Aventura’s Spring ’19 collection draws inspiration from nature and their travels around the world, from South America to Scandinavia. The collection has intricate embroideries that create texture and interest, prints and rich colorways inspired by nature, and flora or graphic elements that feel abstract, yet organic (geometric shapes that mimic flora and trees). Many of the fabrics used in the line are lightweight, breathable, and feel fresh and cool for hot summer days, such as organic cotton crepe, textured slubs and Lenzing Modal and Tencel that are easy care and sustainable. Many of the Adira athleisure pieces for spring not only look sporty, but have performance attributes that make them perfect choices for a run, SUPing, yoga class or a hike in the woods.
The Fair Trade Certified Devon Popover ($65) is the ideal top for transitioning from day to evening. The Devon’s gorgeous loose weave of 50% organic cotton and 50% cotton slub, has a linen-like appearance and sleeves than can be worn up or down. A perfect combination of sporty and sexy, the Celia Dress ($82) is a halter dress with pockets and an all-over graphic print with a pintucked front to add unique textural attributes. This Fair Trade Certified dress is made from organic cotton, recycled polyester and a tiny bit of spandex for stretch and comfort. For those looking for an eco-friendly statement outfit, the Fair Trade Certified Crissy Tank and Lakota Skirt fit the bill. 100% organic cotton and super lightweight, the Crissy Tank plays with mitered stripes on the front and has a ruched back yoke, and the bias cut is incredibly flattering on the body, as it is more of a “swing” shape. The Fair Trade Certified Lakota Skirt ($62) is the ultimate in sustainability, using both hemp and recycled polyester. A 17” inseam, with a shirttail hemline, side slit pockets and drop-in back pockets, this skirt is a summertime must-have for the outdoorsy woman.
Aventura’s also introducing a new recycled polyester fabric this season that they are using in the Kya Jogger ($79), Kya Skort ($69) and Kya Short ($62). All of these styles are ideal bottoms for women who want functional hiking, outdoor wear that looks stylish too. Each piece is also Fair Trade Certified and has just the right amount of stretch for all day comfort. Pair any of them with the poly/cotton blended Flora Tank ($59) which has flattering front princess seams and an on-trend diamond cutout back detail. Add the Ananda Jacket ($99) when an extra layer is needed in those early spring months and summer mornings in the mountains. A lightweight, poly jacket, the Ananda wicks moisture away and has a full zip closure, zippered front pockets, thumbholes, and a back dropped waist seam with feminine ruching details.
A modern take on the classic sleeveless shirt dress style, the McKinley Dress ($79) is made from 100% Lenzing Modal. This lightweight dress has two hip pockets and a removable tie belt and embraces the influences of nature and the outdoors with its combination of floral and geometric shapes. For festival goers or those looking for a bohemian style on hot summer days, the eco-friendly Bianca ($75) is the go-to tunic. Made from super soft and cool organic cotton and Lenzing Modal slub jersey, the Bianca has a sweet lace up neckline and contrasting embroidery detail at the waist and yokes. Pair with leggings or wear on its own with fitted shorts underneath.
