2018 Mountain & Adventure Film Festival Gathering begins September 28th in Los Angeles, California

Film Festival Flix Presents its annual 3-day festival celebrating Southern California’s outdoor community, brands and lifestyle.

The Mountain & Adventure Film Festival Gathering kicks off its fourth year Friday September 28^th in Los Angeles. The 3-day festival celebrates Southern California’s outdoor community, brands and lifestyle. The Festival’s mission is to connect outdoor enthusiasts and the outdoor curious with our SoCal recreation and outdoor adventure community. Drawing from our lifetime of experiences and connections, we’re offering education, instruction, insider access to premiere brands… everything necessary to power your outdoor adventures!

Festival Founder, Benjamin Oberman shares, “Looking at our first three years, we realized that more than half of our attendees were trying these activities or venturing outdoors for the first time. By bringing this “gateway festival” for the outdoor curious into Los Angeles, and highlighting different locations around the city, we can introduce and engage a significantly greater number of SoCal residents to our community.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in climbing, slacklining, yoga and skateboarding events; watch professional demos; participate in open contests; engage with pro athletes, outdoor industry brands and advocacy experts; browse vendor tables and get festival only deals on equipment; enjoy music, friendship, eating, drinking, and of course, watch awe-inspiring films!

The Festival is proudly presenting the North American Premiere of “No Man’s Land – Expedition Antarctica” from filmmaker / freeride skier, Matthias Mayr. BMW athletes, Matthias “Hauni” Haunholder and Matthias Mayr dare to do what no other humans have done before… An unsupported freeride ski expedition into the mainland of Antarctica. Two adventurers, 500 pounds of equipment, and more than 7 million square miles of ice and snow!
