BUFF® Expands on Filter Mask Offerings with New Filter Tube
September 30, 2020
Filters 98% of airborne particles with three-layer replacement filter system
SANTA ROSA, California (Sept. 30, 2020) – Buff, Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of BUFF®, creators of versatile performance headwear for all-season outdoor enthusiasts and athletes is proud to officially announce the launch of its BUFF® Filter Tube. The new accessory is the second offering in BUFF®’s filtered mask collection that debuted with the BUFF® Filter Mask in July of this year. The tube’s design offers the same trusted fit and function as the brand’s top-selling item – the Multifunctional Headwear.
Incorporating sustainable, performance-driven fabrics and a 3-layer, recyclable filter, the BUFF® Filter Tube provides a lightweight, breathable facial covering option suitable for daily outings and active pursuits. Comfort and function similar to BUFF®’s signature product was key in engineering the Filter Tube. Ergonomically designed with 95% recycled REPREVE® performance fabric, bonded seams, overlock darts, and 4-Way ULTRA STRETCH – the tube provides both nose and mouth coverage, never having to be removed entirely. With UPF 50 and moisture wicking properties, it is built for all-day outdoor and indoor activities.
A thin mesh insert, treated by HeiQ V-Block® antimicrobial treatment and bonded by silicon tape around the mouth area, holds a 3-layer recyclable filter inserted by the user. The filter offers up to 24 hours of use, blocking with 98% bacterial filtration efficiency. The filter is binder-free, latex-free, glue-free, and fiberglass-free.
“The development of our filtered offerings is a true embodiment of our goals as a brand,” said Kevin Walker, Marketing Manager at Buff, Inc. “We continually strive to innovate and provide high-performance, comfortable, and safe apparel that protects our community from the natural elements. We’re especially excited about the launch of our BUFF® Filter Tube as this product is rooted in the origin of our product design, with our recycled REPREVE® performance fabric, and classic silhouette. It’s our trusted BUFF® brand product, slightly modified in the event our consumers would like a filtered option for their everyday activities and adventure.”
As a part of a corporate alliance with UNICEF, global sales from the BUFF® Filter Tube and BUFF® Filter Mask will be included in BUFF®’s donation pledge – 2% of its worldwide profits – to help fight COVID-19 in vulnerable communities.
The BUFF® Filter Tube ($29 MSRP) that includes the tube and five 3-layer filters can be purchased only on buffusa.com in two adult sizes and one junior size. A Replacement Filter Pack ($22 MSRP) that includes 30 units is also available for purchase on buffusa.com.
