Stio® to Open its next Mountain Studio® Retail Store in Boulder

JACKSON, Wyo. (December 1, 2020) – Stio, the mountain lifestyle brand based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has announced the opening of its next Mountain Studio retail store in Boulder, Colorado. The brand has leased a prominent location on Boulder’s iconic Pearl Street and plans to open in the spring of 2021.

“We are super stoked to open our next Mountain Studio in one of America’s most vibrant outdoor communities,” said Stio Founder/CEO Steve Sullivan. “The combination of an engaged and active local population, energetic college community and outstanding year-round recreational activities makes it an ideal match for us. Having grown up in Colorado, and lived in Boulder for a short time, it has always had a warm place in my heart. I still have a lot of friends down there and know it to be a wonderful community. We are really looking forward to being part of it.”

The Boulder location will be the brand’s fourth Mountain Studio retail store, after its Jackson, Teton Village and Park City locations.

“Retail is part of the heart and soul of the Stio brand and we love sharing the experience live and in person with our customers,” said Sullivan. Although we are principally a direct-to-consumer e-commerce business, our retail division is performing well and we will continue to opportunistically open locations in key markets, with additional Mountain Studios planned to come online in the near-term.”

Stio has engaged a talented local Boulder contractor and architect to assist its in-house team with design and development. With the Boulder Mountain Studio opening planned for the spring of 2021, Stio will start accepting applications for a Mountain Studio Manager and support staff soon.
