Boulder, CO (March 2021)– Lava Linens, a Colorado-based company committed to developing premium eco-friendly French linen towels from the homestead to the trailhead and everywhere in between, announced today that it has named Boulder-based Meteorite PR as its public relations firm of record as it unveils new products and wholesale opportunities in 2021.

Founded in 2018 in Boulder, Lava Linens is the only company in the United States that exclusively manufactures and sells high-quality linen towels, ideal for eco-responsible adventurers who demand durable, high-performance gear. Lava Linens towels consist of flax fibers woven at the perfect weight, ensuring that each towel is composed of the strongest fibers nature provides, without shedding harmful microplastics often left behind by other towels on the market.

While Lava Linens towels are most notably well-suited for surfers and other water sports enthusiasts, overlanders, van-lifers and open-air competitors, they’re also designed to effortlessly cross the bounds between adventuring on the trails and luxury home living.

Swanson founded the company with her sister Caitlin and their mother Sheila, a longtime textile expert and artisan who personally creates each towel. The company currently offers three different towel models: The Mini (20” x 25”), The Classic (27” x 45”) and The Luxe (30” x 52”).

The company offers each towel in four different color choices (black, blue, green and red) and will unveil new Ultralight models of each towel this spring, as well as new wholesale opportunities with select retailers later this year.

Meteorite PR was founded in 2017 by PR industry veteran Eric Henderson and represents a broad collection of clients including leading outdoor footwear company Salewa, as well as Rab Equipment, the industry standard for alpine climbing apparel and technical gear. The company also works with award-winning Colorado-based ski wax company MountainFlow,  the world’s best eco-friendly, biodegradable ski and snowboard wax.
