GCI Outdoor Sponsors the 2021 AdventurUs Women Escape Event Series
March 8, 2021
GCI will donate gear to participants and give away a scholarship to upcoming escape event
HIGGANUM, Conn. (March 8, 2021) – GCI Outdoor, creators of portable, durable and comfortable outdoor recreation furniture, today announce a new partnership with AdventurUsWomen Escape Event Series for 2021.
Returning after a pause in 2020 due to COVID, the successful AdventurUs Women Escapes Event Series is an all-inclusive, multi-sport adventure weekend, designed to provide welcoming, affirming spaces to explore new places, learn new skills, make new friends and connect with nature. AdventurUs Women welcomes participants of all gender identities and expressions who feel that a women’s retreat is the right space for them.
The 2021 Escapes have adapted to provide a smaller, more intimate event experience to help women get outdoors for their physical and mental well-being while taking into account CDC considerations for events and gatherings.
As a Trail Sponsor for the 2021 event series, GCI Outdoor will be providing chairs for all participants at each of the escape events. Additionally, GCI will host a sweepstakes from 3/24/21 – 3/30/21 where they will award one lucky winner a scholarship to attend an upcoming all-inclusive escape weekend (travel not included). Follow along on social media for updates.
“We are very excited to support an organization that helps introduce more women to the outdoors,” says Amy Newton, Marketing & Design Project Manager at GCI Outdoor. “We know people are eager to get out and explore, as well as make new connections – with themselves, nature and other people. AdventurUs Women is providing a built-in support system from the moment the participants arrive to the time they leave, allowing them to learn, laugh and truly enjoy their time outdoors. In turn, we hope that these women end their weekend having created a lifelong connection with an outdoor lifestyle.”
In addition to implementing new COVID event protocols, two new fantastic venues have been added this year to limit travel and provide closer-to-home opportunities for attendees. Generous cancellation policies allow women to book with confidence. More information can be found on the FAQ page.
The all-inclusive weekends will take place at the following locations:
- LOGE Camps in Bend, Oregon – May 13-16, 2021
- A-Lodge in Boulder, Colorado – June 24-27, 2021
- Mulberry Gap Adventure Basecamp in Ellijay, Georgia – September 23-26, 2021
