Helen of Troy Promotes Phyllis Grove to Senior Vice President of Marketing, Housewares Division

Seasoned executive will lead marketing teams across OXO and Hydro Flask, while also joining the broader divisional leadership team

New York, NY (June 2, 2021) – The Housewares Division of Helen of Troy Limited (NASDAQ, NM: HELE), home to the award-winning brands, OXO and Hydro Flask, is pleased to announce the promotion of Phyllis Grove to the newly created divisional role of Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Prior to this promotion, Grove served as VP of Marketing & eCommerce at Hydro Flask for the last five years. Her passion and experience for the outdoor industry helped guide brand growth strategy and build strong consumer awareness along the way. In her expanded position, Grove will add the OXO brand to her purview and utilize her vast consumer goods experience to strengthen marketing approach and implementation across the division.

“Phyllis has been a changemaker for the Hydro Flask brand since day one,” said Larry Witt, President of the Housewares Division. “Her ability to lead high-performing teams and understand consumer trends will positively impact the way we operate across the division. Grove brings over three decades of brand marketing and leadership experience to the newly created divisional role. She will report to Mr. Witt and will continue to be based out of Helen of Troy’s Housewares Divisionoffice in Bend, Oregon.

Prior to joining Hydro Flask and Helen of Troy, Grove worked in a variety of industries, including consumer packaged goods, food, consumer electronics and natural products. She built her strategic marketing foundation at Procter & Gamble and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream. Her other functional roles include leading product management and heading a business team at Kensington Technology Group. Grove has also served on the Outdoor Industry Association Board of Directors since 2018 and is currently the board’s 1st Vice Chair and the Nominating & Governance Committee Chair. When not working, she spends as much time outside as possible, from hiking in the Cascades and the high desert to maintaining her native plant garden. Grove is also an avid traveler who believes in experiencing countries and learning their cultures on foot, from trekking in Nepal to day hikes and culinary adventures in France.
