The BA DA DA High Fives Summer with Asymmetrical Innovation and Meta-Rocker Midsole

GOLETA, Calif. – July, 2021 – Footwear innovation brand Deckers X Lab quite literally went well beyond the constraints of common flip-flop designs with the all-new BA DA DA. Always looking to improve and re-invent, the BA DA DA (based on the Zulu word for sandal) is set to change the game within the flip-flop world. Part of their KO-Z line of footwear, the BA DA DA features an asymmetrical strap with a meta-rocker midsole prioritizing mobility, flow, and all-day comfort.

The BA DA DA’s strap was moved to fit asymmetrically on the footbed to help secure the foot for when the chill moves to adventure. The strap itself is oozing in comfort with an ultra-plush lining, a soft toe post, and the durable hemp construction aids in moisture control. The strap’s positioning and composition add emphasis to DXLab’s evolution in Flow Wear with the BA DA DA moving in stride with the foot.

From a distance, the BA DA DA is certainly a flip-flop, but underfoot the light, cushioned, and upcycled construction combined with a rockered geometry to improve proficiency in the natural stride and an extra grippy sole open the doors to variable terrain, and to what DXLab calls “flip-flow”.

The BA DA DA is not only the next iteration in design from Deckers X Lab, the production line is built on sustainability. Intent on not allowing any materials to go to waste, materials discarded from one pair of BA DA DAs are upcycled to make the next pair. And this upcycle production falls right in line with all of DXLab’s Xperiences and Flow Wear that are built to last.

The BA DA DA has the aesthetics of a casual and comfortable flip-flop, designed to go where no flip-flop has gone before while defining “flip-flow”.
