KOA Website Back Up After Nearly 2-Day Disruption

After nearly two days, Kampgrounds of America Inc.’s (KOA) website, koa.com, is back up and running after a service disruption that shut down the ability for campers to book reservations online through the website, according to company officials.

Park owners that WOODALLSCM.com (WCM) spoke with noted that they could still take reservations over the phone and enter them into the backend of KOA’s K2 system, but that the consumer-facing online website was not operating. Most owners noted that the outage was frustrating but that KOA kept them up-to-date on what was occurring as they worked to fix the issue. KOA officials told WCM that they have taken steps to ensure that a disruption like this does not happen in the future.
