Norrøna Presents Innovative and Sustainably Minded Trail Running Collection

New purpose-built senja trail running collection launches Spring/Summer 2023, featuring a running vest with fully recycled fabrics and packable Gore-Tex jacket
OSLO, Norway (June 23, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Norrøna, the four-season Norwegian outdoor brand known for its sustainably built, premium outerwear, reveals its first trail running specific line: the senja collection. The all-new assortment features trail running inspired products made with innovative and sustainable materials, designed for light and fast adventures in the mountains. The senja collection is named after the iconic mountains and wide variety of trails on the island of Senja off the coast of Norway.

New 2023 senja Trail Running Collection
unisex senja Econyl70 7L Pack ($229)
Made entirely of recycled fabrics and purpose-built, the new senja Econyl70 7L Pack provides maximum stability and comfort when carrying the necessities. Useful running features include two running pole attachment points – one in the front and one in the back, hydration bladder compatibility and two, two-way adjustable chest straps. Exposed zippers on the pack’s four zippered pockets have been laminated for extra water repellency and additional pockets at the sides are open for easy access to energy bars or gel packs. Two Norrøna 500 milliliter (mL) soft flasks and a built-in safety whistle are included with the pack.
Additionally, the senja Econyl 7L Pack was recently named the overall winner of the Scandinavian Outdoor Awards, winning the jury’s hearts immediately with its custom fit for both men and women.
senja Gore-Tex Active Jacket ($549) for men and women
This packable, waterproof and highly breathable jacket is built with 100% recycled nylon and laminated Gore-Tex Pro Active technology for superior lightweight durability. Large double ventilation openings on the sides of the jacket and a large hidden mesh exterior on the upper back help prevent moisture buildup while running. The jacket is equipped with a zippered back pocket featuring a concealed belt, and when turned inside out, the pocket becomes a waist pack to store the jacket in and attach around the waist when not in use. Additional features include: a hood that can be securely packed away when not in use, chafe-free linings and a zippered opening on the wrist for convenient watch access.
senja Flex 1 Shorts ($109) 9” for men and 8” for women
These quick-drying, lightweight shorts are built with Polyamide and Elastane for flexibility, ultra-light protection and durability. The shorts have ample storage, with a zippered pocket in the back for valuables and two front open hand pockets and two side pockets to securely store energy bars or gel packs. There is also a concealed and strategically placed hook on the back of the waist to attach any layers of clothes shed during a run.
senja Warm1 Hood ($189) for men and women
The Warm1 Hood is a breathable, fast-drying midlayer made with 100% recycled polyester with a honeycomb backer and UPF 30+ for sun protection. The cuffs feature thumb grips to keep the layer secure on the body and a two-way half zipper in the front provides a variety of airflow options.
senja Equaliser Lightweight T-Shirt ($99) and Long Sleeve ($129) for men and women
Featuring the anti-odor technology HeiQ, these shirts provide outstanding breathability and comfort in a relaxed fit. Key running features include gusseted armpits for mobility, sleek collar with tapered reinforcement in the neck and flatlock seams throughout to help prevent skin irritation.

HeiQ Fresh uses bio-based and mineral-based ingredients to address body odors, environmental odors and fabric odors, without impacting the integrity of fabrics.
