PEARL iZUMi Steps Up Footwear Offering for Fall ’22

LOUISVILLE, Colo. (September 18, 2020) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – PEARL iZUMi, a leader in cycling apparel and footwear, is excited to debut its all-new PRO models of road and gravel shoes with a new last for an improved fit. The brand’s PRO series of products represents the highest degree of cutting-edge design, comfort, and performance.

The updated PRO Air ($425), which weighs 237 grams (size 42), features an enhanced BOA system with Li2 dual dials that deliver bi-directional adjustability, with soft lace guides to reduce hot spots. The mesh laminate upper is ultra-breathable and silicone heel grips provide added stability. The 1:1® PRO Air Plate carbon sole was developed in collaboration with Ruckus Composites and a dual-density 1:1® footbed offers improved arch support. The PRO Air shoe is a unisex model that ranges from size 39 to 49, with half sizes offered from 41.5 to 46.5.

Also, this fall, for the first time, PEARL iZUMi is offering a women’s specific model of the PRO road shoe. The Women’s PRO Road ($260) features the 1:1® PRO Air Plate carbon sole with a perforated synthetic leather upper for breathability and durability. Like the PRO Air, the PRO Road features an updated BOA Fit System, soft lace guides, and the dual-density 1:1® footbed. Sizing for the Women’s PRO Road starts at 36 and goes up to 43, with half sizes between 38.5-40.5.

The new Expedition PRO ($260) gravel shoe is the perfect blend of lightweight road shoe materials with mountain bike protective elements. The Expedition PRO will replace the GravelX shoe with an improved fit and innovative features. Improvements include the BOA Fit System with dual L6C dials, soft lace guides, a dual-density 1:1® footbed, carbon sole with TPU toe, heel bumpers, and a stomp plate. The wide-spaced tread provides optimal grip and sheds mud for adventures on and off the bike. The Expedition PRO is offered in unisex sizing and ranges from sizes 39-49, with half sizes from 42.5-46.5.
