NEMO Equipment’s Endless Promise® Collection Named One of TIME’s 2024 Best Inventions

The brand’s line of technical backpacking sleeping bags and backpacks were recognized for their innovative materials and recyclability.

The backpacking sleeping bags and technical backpacks join the highly coveted list of 200 extraordinary innovations in categories including health care, AI, green energy, and the outdoors, where NEMO was honored. Contenders were evaluated through an extensive list of criteria including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.

Endless Promise Collection®
The Endless Promise Collection represents NEMO’s commitment to reduce resource consumption and keep gear out of the landfill. All Endless Promise products are painstakingly designed to be repairable, resellable, and most importantly, 100% recyclable. In addition to the intensive design work required, NEMO has also put in place key partnerships and infrastructure to make the take-back and recycling process easy for the customer. When a product has reached its end, it can be sent back to NEMO and the company will handle the rest.

NEMO debuted its Endless Promise Collection in 2023 with the best-selling Forte™ Endless Promise® synthetic Spoon® shape sleeping bag.  As of 2024, NEMO’s Endless Promise Collection includes its entire line of synthetic and down insulated backpacking sleeping bags, as well as the recently launched Vantage and Resolve backpacks. Prioritizing innovative, low-impact materials and repairable, fully recyclable designs, the Endless Promise collection will continue to expand in 2025.

NEMO’s U.S. recycling partners include Unifi, Ambercycle (whose Cycora recycled fabric used in NEMO’s Endless Promise backpacks was also named to TIME’s 2024 Best Inventions), and ALLIED Feather + Down. After removing, cleaning, and reviving the down from Endless Promise bags, ALLIED will incorporate the insulation into its RENU:TRACE, offering the world’s first fully traceable recycled down. NEMO is also continuing to expand its repair and recycling services throughout its distribution areas and is currently partnering with United Repair Centre, CuRe Technology, and ALLIED in Europe.
