A Milestone in Distribution: Great Family Adventure on PBS
In 2024, Heliconia’s distribution team secured a major win by bringing the Great Family Adventure TV series to PBS, significantly expanding the reach of their family adventure travel content. This achievement will connect millions of families nationwide and will be inspired to explore local cultures and discover unique experiences in destinations around the world.
Launch of New Advertising Platform
In January of this year, Heliconia formally launched their new Advertising Platform. Due to the unique relationships that they have with their broadcast partners, every time an episode airs on TV, Heliconia retains a portion of the available commercial space. Through the platform, Heliconia’s brand and destination partners can leverage that space to reach an engaged and enthusiastic outdoor and adventure travel audience.
With the ability to reach over 100 million households across North America and 15,000+ TV airings annually, Heliconia has available commercial inventory on multiple US based networks including underwriting opportunities on PBS, allowing you to target multiple key demographics.
New Faces and Leadership
The Heliconia family grew with the introduction of Mike Fink as the newest host of Epic Trails, adding a fresh face to one of the company’s most beloved shows.
Additionally, 2024 saw a pivotal leadership change with the appointment of Brendan Mark as Heliconia’s new CEO, signaling a new era of innovation and growth.
