Kelty Expands Convenience and Comfort Solutions with Next Generation Child Carriers, Sleep Systems and Shelters for Spring 2018

Sleeping bags that grow with kids, sleep systems featuring matching camp beds and bags, and oversized shelters make it easy for outdoor family adventures

BOULDER, COLO. (June 14, 2017) – Kelty®, a leader in providing innovative adventure gear and everyday outdoor products built to last, will expand convenience and comfort solutions for spring 2018, debuting integrated sleep systems, redesigned child carriers, kids sleeping bags that grow with kids and oversized shelters. In addition, reinforcing its backcountry heritage, Kelty will introduce technical trekking poles incorporating more performance features and fits specifically for women. The products will be on display at booth #24027 at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, Utah, July 26-29 will be available at www.kelty.com and at specialty retailers for spring 2018.

Kelty’s Journey PerfectFIT™ child carrier was developed by a team of parents and was researched extensively with parent input, resulting in the only child carrier with a locking aluminum roll cage inspired by those used in utility vehicles, providing full child protection in the event of a fall. Journey PerfectFIT uses Kelty’s proprietary PerfectFIT Suspension for quick and easy fit adjustments on the go. It comes in three styles including the Journey PerfectFIT ($199.95) that has all of the necessities, Journey PerfectFIT Signature ($259.95) with added storage and Journey PerfectFIT Elite ($299.95) with increased organization and an integrated sunshade.

Kelty’s updated Big Dipper sleeping bag grows with kids, expanding the foot box by 12 inches. In addition, the new child’s version of the adult Callisto rec bag unzips on both sides to allow parents to easily tuck in a sleeping child.

Kelty’s integrated sleep systems feature easily inflatable camp beds including the Tru.Comfort Camp Bed and sleeping pads such as the Galactic Pad. This system gives consumers the ability to pair a Kelty camp bed or pad with a Kelty sleeping bag for added comfort, preventing users from rolling off the bed or pad. The new Noah’s Camp Screen is an easy-to-set-up screen room that protects picnic tables from bugs and falling leaves/debris. In the Sequoia tent, a six-foot, six-inch camper may stand up straight and move freely in both four-person and six-person styles.

Kelty adds to its range of technical trekking poles for hikers of all abilities with the lightweight, durable and fully-carbon Cirque and the women-specific Cairn with a smaller grip size and broader adjustability range. The Snapshot lightweight aluminum trekking pole has a removable grip top with a screw camera mount built in for photographers or outdoor selfie lovers.

Kelty’s enhanced line of Tuck sleeping bags are comfort-focused for entry-level backpacking, incorporating ThermaPro™ Ultra synthetic insulation that is lightweight, warm, water resistant and packable. The insulated hood delivers full-body warmth and features dual “sweatshirt-like” drawcords and the natural fit footbox unzips for added ventilation at the feet.
