Adventure Travel Conservation Fund and Conservation Alliance Announce Dual Memberships

Bend, Ore., (June 22, 2017) — The Conservation Alliance and Adventure Travel Conservation Fund (ATCF) today announce their dual memberships. The pair’s unique partnership allows them to maximize their North American and international fight to conserve natural and cultural resources.

The ATCF provides funding, connections and puts an international spotlight on projects that protect the cultural and natural resources that underpin the adventure tourism industry. The non-profit directly funds local projects engaged in the conservation of unique natural and cultural resources of adventure travel destinations.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Conservation Alliance on board as a member of the ATCF,” said Soraya Shattuck, executive director of ATCF. “The Conservation Alliance has been a presence in outdoor industry trade for over twenty-five years, funding projects and serving as a strong advocate for the permanent protection of wild places within North America. With their involvement as a member of the ATCF, we’re excited to extend similar types of conservation impacts internationally.

This new partnership will continue to help support and bolster The Conservation Alliance’s efforts to fund conservation organizations working to protect North America’s last wild spaces. Through the support of Conservation Alliance member companies, the organization has helped protect 50 million acres, 2,991 river miles, removed or halted 29 dams, purchased 12 climbing areas and designated five marine reserves.
