Restoring our Nation’s Forest to Protect the Destination

Seattle, WA. (May 17,2021) – Airstream Adventures Northwest  (AANW), the nation’s largest exclusive Airstream dealer group, today announces their partnership with the National Forest Foundation (NFF), the congressionally-chartered nonprofit arm working to improve the health of the National Forest System. Through this partnership, AANW will sponsor the planting of 120,001 trees in their initiative to Protect the Destination.

“We are pleased to announce our partnership with the NFF and our Protect The Destination initiative. We believe that Airstream Adventures has an obligation to protect public lands so our Guests can have spaces in which to create Memories & Adventures that will last for generations,” said Ted Davis, President and CEO of Airstream Adventures. “Partnering with the NFF will help support a healthy environment through better forest management, wildfire management and reducing the carbon footprint of our guests every time they hit the road with their Airstream.”

AANW announces the partnership with the NFF along with its commitment to Protect the Destination in celebration of its 11th anniversary. Since its inception, the Airstream dealer group has valued conservation and worked to provide its guest’s inspiration and freedom to explore new lands. Through the partnership with the NFF, AANW will plant carbon-offsetting trees for every purchase of a new Airstream from one of their five Airstream Adventures dealerships over the next 12 months.

“We are thrilled to be working with a brand that’s committed to protecting the destination for future generations,” said Mindy Crowell, Reforestation Partnership Director at NFF. “By supporting the restoration of our national forests, they are putting their sustainability goals into action and encouraging other RV Dealers to do the same.”

National Forests span 193 million acres and sustain more than 3,000 species of wildlife. By sponsoring the planting of new seedlings on National Forests, AANW is helping improve air and water quality, increase recreation opportunities, and lessen the effect of climate change by making our forests more resilient. The 120,001 trees will collectively absorb about 60,000 tons of carbon emissions from the atmosphere over the course of their lifetimes.
