Altra Announces the Launch of the New VIA Olympus 2

Offering an enhanced plush ride to the brand’s award-winning max cushion shoe

DENVER /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Altra, a leading innovator in performance running, is excited to announce the launch of the VIA Olympus 2 – the second iteration of their award-winning max cushion shoe. Now softer than ever, the VIA Olympus 2 was created to allow runners to stay out there longer with more comfort than ever before.

The new VIA Olympus 2 has a softer Altra EGO™ MAX midsole for a plusher feel underfoot, as well as an all-new Plush Ortholite X55 footbed that provides runners with an improved step-in feel. Additionally, a refined molded heel collar and plush upper offer a more comfortable, secure fit.

“It’s easy to get lost in a plush max cushion, so we’ve been very strategic and purposeful with our changes to the Altra EGO^TM MAX midsole foam to enhance the cushioned feel and keep runners feeling fast and moving forward – no compromises on performance here”, said Lind. “These shoes go the distance… And provide a plush ride, while still allowing the runner to feel the ground beneath them.“

The VIA Olympus 2 also features a 33mm of stack height, rocker geometry that encourages an efficient toe-off. Altra’s natural fit wide toebox and zero drop gives ample space for natural movement and running form.
