DENVER (March 9, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Altra, a leading innovator in performance running, is excited to welcome its newest ultra-athlete, Jacky Hunt-Broersma, to the Altra Elite Athlete Team. Ultra runner, cancer survivor and world record holder for running 104 marathons in 104 days, Hunt-Broersma is one of the most accomplished adaptive ultramarathoners in the world.

Hunt-Broersma started running 5k’s about six years ago at the age of 41, and quickly moved up to half and full marathon distances. Since then, she has transitioned into trail and ultrarunning – with a 100-mile distance being her personal favorite. Hunt-Broersma‘s accomplishments are endless – she’s secured podium at the Boston Marathon and Boston Half Marathon, she was the first amputee to run 100 miles on a treadmill under 24 hours, and she also holds a World Record for most consecutive marathons run by a female athlete, running 104 marathons in 104 days.
