Balega Now Accepting Applications for 2020 Impi Ambassador Team

2020 team will welcome run enthusiasts and passionate athletes from North America, the United Kingdom and South Africa

Durham, N.C. (November 13, 2019) – Balega, a leading performance sock brand in the run specialty market, has officially opened the application portal today for its sixth annual Impi ambassador team. For 2020, Balega welcomes applicants from around the globe to help represent Balega by spotlighting the brand’s core pillars – performance, excellence, harmony, creativity and community. Applications will be accepted through November 30, 2019.

The 2020 team will comprise athletes from North America, South Africa and the United Kingdom. These endurance enthusiasts will be asked to use their social media channels and presence at races and events around the world to spread the Balega word, talk with their run communities about the products’ excellence and distinction, and position Balega as the leader in the run specialty market. Ambassadors will also be asked to find ways to give back to their local communities in alignment with Balega’s give-back initiatives.

Impi is a Zulu word roughly translating to mean “warrior.” Those selected to join the team will act as an army of Balega warriors or “Impis.” Ambassadors will represent the brand’s core values and share the brand’s South African heritage and “sole.” In turn, Impis will receive a plethora of socks over the course of the year, get a first-look at new products, help launch new products and take part in sharing the Balega brand with their local and social communities. They will further benefit from the various other product categories out of the Implus stable of brands.
