Boardworks Takes Fitness to New Waters with the Verve 11′

Lightweight touring design optimized for fit adventures

CARLSBAD, Calif. (July 29, 2016) – Boardworks, a leader in innovative and award-winning surfboards and standup paddle (SUP) boards, paddles, and accessories, unveiled today the Verve 11’: a small, lightweight board optimized for touring, fitness and recreational races.

“The Verve 11 is perfect for fitness enthusiasts and weekend warriors who want a stable, efficient and versatile SUP,” said Gretchen Gamble, marketing director for Boardworks. “Entry-level to advanced paddlers will love the stability of this lightweight, performance-capable touring and fitness board.”

The board strikes the optimal balance between performance and stability, whether paddling for fitness, recreational racing or general flatwater touring. Its low-entry rocker, flat bottom and V-shape through the tail gives it efficient glide while a slightly recessed cockpit provides a lower center of gravity for improved stability. It also features a fast and efficient hull design as well as a forward fin placement for fast turns and improved maneuverability in surf.

The board’s carbon vector net construction provides improved stiffness for better power transfer and acceleration while allowing the board to weigh in at an impressively light 27 lbs. Light blue, white, and orange coloring minimizes heat absorption and the likelihood of damage from sun exposure.

Other features include a LiftSUP handle, FCS Connect tool-less touring fin, a self-regulating vent plug and four deck tie downs with bungee on the deck.

The Verve 11’ is $1,399 and launches to retailers in November 2016.
