Brompton Bicycle Expands Product Lineup at REI with Addition of Folding Electric Bike

Brompton Electric Now Available In-Store at select REI Locations Across U.S.

NEW YORK (May 3, 2021) – Brompton, the London-based manufacturer of the iconic Brompton folding bike, has expanded its product line offering in select REI stores across the U.S. today with the addition of the Brompton Electric to its in-store inventory.

Along with the brand’s traditional folding bike, the Brompton Electric will now be available in-store at REI locations, including New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago Lincoln Park and the Seattle flagships. These locations will offer the 6-speed, Brompton Electric M6L, which is purpose-built for multi-modal urban commutes, in the brand’s fan-favorite, Bolt Blue color for $4,050.

Recognized as both the most lightweight and compact foldable e-bike on the market, the Brompton Electric is designed with a removable battery housed in a convenient carry bag allowing users to easily transition from bike to public transportation, carry the bike up and down stairs, stash in a small office cubicle or fold up to toss in the trunk of a ride-share service at the end of a long day. The Brompton Electric also features a motor designed in-house together with Williams Advanced Engineering that offers three levels of pedal assist up to 15 mph and a battery range up to 45 miles.
