Chaco Committed to Craftsmanship in Fall 2016 Collection of Premium Boots and Shoes

February 3, 2016 (ROCKFORD, Mich.) – Over the past 25 years, Chaco has solidified its reputation for making the world’s best sandals. In Fall 2016, Chaco takes its commitment to craftsmanship and comfort to closed-toe styles with three new collections of premium, casual boots and shoes: Journeyman, New Standards, and Mountain Lifestyle.

“Chaco has made popular, closed-toe shoes for many years, but I really think our new fall collection will surprise a lot of people and truly establish Chaco as a leader in four-season footwear,” states Seth Cobb, president of Chaco. “Our new shoes and boots use beautiful, premium materials, crafted with an attention to detail that is really impressive. Chaco’s new Journeyman collection is inspired by classic hiking boot designs, and intended for a life well-traveled. Highlights of the Journeyman collection include premium upper leathers, an instant-comfort EVA midsole, waxed cotton laces, and polished metal hardware. A non-marking ChacoGrip™ outsole provides reliable, durable traction. Men’s styles include the Yonder and Genessee boots, while the Woodfell and Fields styles are for women.

The New Standards collection offers everyday casual footwear that balances fashion and comfort. New Standards styles include shoes with full-grain leather uppers with jacquard lining and a crepe-inspired outsole featuring 75-percent natural rubber compound. Men can choose from the slip-on Montrose, Montrose Lace and Montrose Chukka styles, while women can choose from the Pineland, Pineland Moc and Pineland Chukka.

The Mountain Lifestyle collection features outdoors-inspired lifestyle footwear. The new Trailstead boot for women is clean and refined, featuring premium hardware. The Lodge Waterproof boot for women sits just below the knee for casual performance, and features waterproof construction, a waterproof zipper on the back for easy on/off, and seam-sealed waterproofed leathers.

All Chaco shoes feature a removable LUVSEAT™ premium polyurethane (PU) footbed and are American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) approved.
