Chaco Hits the Road Again on the 2022 Fit for Adventure Tour

The ReChaco Roving Repair Bus is back, and visiting more major cities

ROCKFORD, Mich. (March 2, 2022) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Chaco, the outdoor lifestyle brand known for the iconic Z sandal, will be on the road again this year with an expanded Fit For Adventure Tour. Offering on site repairs to keep sandals on feet (and out of landfills) longer, as well as custom Chaco Z Sandals and Chillos, the tour will make stops around the country to connect with the adventure-loving #ChacoNation in outdoor spaces in their communities.

“We hear about so many lifelong memories being made in Chacos, and it was great to hear so many of those firsthand on the tour last summer,” said Lauren Poole, Sr. Director of Marketing at Chaco. “This year we are thrilled to take this experience to new cities and to meet more of Chaco Nation on the road. We love being a part of the journey, whether that means fixing a beloved a pair of sandals or choosing their own styles, colors, and patterns to customize their own pair.

The ReChaco Roving Repairs bus has been refueled and updated for the year ahead, welcoming old fans and new to visit (no appointments needed), drop off their favorite Z sandals for repair, or create their very own customized Classic Z Sandals or Chillos styles at the design bar. Tour-exclusive webbing offerings and merch will also be available. The first leg of the 2022 Chaco Fit For Adventure Tour will include stops in Austin, Atlanta and Charlotte areas:

• Austin, TX: March 16-27
• Atlanta, GA: April 1-17
• Charlotte, NC: April 21-25
• Tuck Fest – Whitewater Center: April 29-May 1

Chaco will announce details of the second leg of the tour in April, with planned stops in Denver and Telluride. For those who may not be able to make it out in person, Chaco will offer digital experiences; follow @ChacoFootwear on Instagram and TikTok for more details.

In 2021 over 1,500 pairs of Chacos were repaired, and over 1,200 custom pairs were made, and this year those numbers will only increase with more city residencies in the pipeline.

The Roving Repairs Bus will be open from 12-6 pm every Wednesday-Sunday at the primary residencies. Repairs will be free of charge, custom Chillos will cost $55, and custom Z/1 sandals will cost $110.
