Chaco Joins Outdoor Industry Women’s Coalition; Flip Sale Fundraiser
July 27, 2016
ROCKFORD, Mich. (July 27, 2016) – Chaco is pleased to announce that it has signed on as a member of the Outdoor Industry Women’s Coalition (OIWC). In addition to membership dues, Chaco will celebrate the expanded partnership by selling its iconic flips for just $20 (over half off MSRP) to attendees of the Outdoor Retailer trade show next week, with all proceeds going to OIWC.
Founded in 1996, OIWC strives to expand opportunities for women in the outdoor, snow, bike and run industries in order to create more equity, diversity, and inclusion of women. Chaco’s core values – outdoor adventure, travel, and community – make this partnership a perfect fit for the brand.
“OIWC has been the recipient of successful Chaco fundraisers at previous OR shows, but we’re excited to deepen the relationship and our team members look forward to participating in the many benefits of membership,” said Seth Cobb, president of Chaco. “I encourage other brands to consider similar fundraisers and their own OIWC membership to support female leadership across the active outdoor industries.”
