Chas Fisher Joins Verde Brand Communications and Verde Strategy

DURANGO, Colo. (July 17, 2017) – Chas Fisher will serve Verde Brand Communications as COO, and Verde Strategy as Co-leader, effective immediately.

“Chas was the very first person to hire me to do brand communications 16 years ago, and since then we’ve become great colleagues, built a friendship, and seen fire and rain together in the outdoor active lifestyle industries,” said Kristin Carpenter-Ogden, founder and CEO of Verde Brand Communications. “I’m very proud to announce that he’ll serve both Verde Brand Communications as our Chief Operating Officer, as well as my partner in Verde Strategy, our strategic consulting practice.”

Aside from being a client of Verde Brand Communications for 13 of the agency’s 16 years, Chas brings a very deep outdoor industry pedigree.

He spent six years working with the National Outdoor Leadership School, leading hundreds of people on mountain expeditions throughout North America. As founder and president of the Bolder Holds/Straight Up climbing hold/wall companies, he played a pivotal role in the explosion of indoor climbing in the United States.

Chas then went on to found Loyal 9 Studios, a creative marketing agency serving the outdoor market, and later took vital leadership roles with La Sportiva, Nikwax and Cascade Designs. He is a board member and committee chair of the American Alpine Club.

As Verde’s COO, Chas brings a unique leadership perspective with his entrepreneurial, corporate and agency experience to the leading brand communications agency in the active outdoor lifestyle markets. In his role with Verde Strategy, Chas brings his years of outdoor entrepreneurial and corporate experience in crafting bold strategies to address the many challenges and opportunities being offered to brands today.
