College Outside Joins The Conservation Alliance
May 25, 2017
Bend, Ore., (May 23, 2017) — The Conservation Alliance today welcomes College Outside as its newest member. College Outside is the outdoor industry’s primary connection to the college demographic. Over 200 collegiate outdoor groups use College Outside’s retail site to purchase gear for their programs, leaders, and members.
“Our goal is to support these college outdoor programs and increase participation in the outdoors.” said Sarah Lockwood, founder of College Outside. “We feel a strong responsibility to the students we work with and to places we love to play, so this partnership is a natural fit for us.”
This new partnership will continue to help support and bolster The Conservation Alliance’s efforts to fund conservation organizations working to protect North America’s last wild spaces. Though the support of Conservation Alliance member companies, the organization has helped protect 50 million acres, 2,991 river miles, removed or halted 29 dams, purchased 12 climbing areas and designated five marine reserves.
“We are proud and honored to welcome College Outside to The Conservation Alliance,” said John Sterling, executive director of The Conservation Alliance.
