Dakine Introduces Dakine Fish with Premium Fishing Gear Storage and Accessories
April 12, 2022
Newly-relaunched fish category includes new products to protect gear, anglers and fresh catches ahead of summer 2022
LOS ANGELES (April 12, 2022) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Dakine, the trusted name in purpose-built gear for outdoor adventure, today announces the relaunch of its fishing category, Dakine Fish, which includes fish bags, tackle storage, gloves and headwear for a range of saltwater and freshwater fishing. Originally launched in the ‘80s, Dakine has revamped the category to accommodate anglers on full-day excursions, pond hopping, offshore fishing and more.
“Dakine’s Hawaiian roots have directly shaped the design and function of the fish category,” says Micah Nickens, surf marketing manager at Dakine. “This line was inspired by local Hawaiian anglers that spend their days on the coast moving from one fishing spot to another. From there, our goal was to create a product line that not only tailored to the needs of the coastal angler, but to all anglers looking for trusted and durable gear on any fishing excursion.”
The standout pack for SS22 is the Ulua 60L Fish Pack (MSRP $330), designed specifically for surf anglers with a built-in cooler for keeping fish fresh and pockets for total gear organization during all-day trips. The Ulua is made durable with a heavy duty waterproof Cordura® coated outer fabric and a heavy duty coated inner liner for max waterproof protection. The 20mm closed cell foam insulation inside the pack keeps catches fresh while the heavy duty threaded drain plug offers both rapid and slow flow release ports for a quick and easy cleanup. Four adjustable side rod or sand stake holders, two outer pockets and multiple attachment points for accessories keep tackle and gear within reach.
Also launching in the collection are the Mission Fish Pack 40L and Mission Fish Waist Pack 12, built for pond hopping, wade fishing and other shore-based angling. Both packs are constructed with the same heavy duty waterproof Cordura® outer fabric as the Ulua for durability and protection and have ample storage for lure boxes, tools, fishing line and other gear.
The collection also features dependable gear built for offshore duty. The Freestanding Fish Bag (MSRP $355-$440) and Flat Fish Bag ($385-$460) deliver superior ice retention and durability for tournament anglers and compact boat captains who need additional fish storage. Both bags feature 20 mm closed cell foam insulation, waterproof exterior fabric, a coated PVC inner liner, threaded drain plugs and corrosion proof zipper and are available in four-foot or six-foot lengths. Finally, the 12L Lure Locker (MSRP $30) provides divided and breathable storage for trolling lures and leaders, while the Fish Full Finger Glove (MSRP $40) and Fish Open Finger Glove (MSRP $34) provide unrivaled grip and protection for leadering fish.
