SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (May 1, 2018) – Gregory Mountain Products, a longtime leader in backpacks and adventure travel gear, is honored to announce the new Baltoro, and women’s specific Deva, were the chosen recipients of Outside Magazine’s prestigious 2018 Gear of the Year Award. The Gear of the Year Award recognizes the best new adventure sports gear of the season, chosen after months of rigorous testing by the editors of Outside Magazine.

This marks the third award for the best-selling backpacks, which received the first-ever Backpacker Magazine Editor’s Choice 25^th Anniversary Hall of Fame Award last month and the Gold OutDoor award in 2017. The new Baltoro and Deva debuted this spring and represent the pinnacle of pack design, fit and comfort – principles at the foundation of Gregory’s fit philosophy and reputation as a pack builder.

The all new Baltoro and Deva, which were first introduced to the line in 2006, include a lighter, upgraded Response A3 Suspension System with 7001-aluminum frame for pack stability, Matrix Ventilated Backpanel for increased breathability and comfort, and Auto Angle Adjust (A3) hipbelt and shoulder harness. The quick-drying A3 hipbelt and shoulder harness automatically adapt to different body geometries for a customized fit. They also move independently from each other for a dynamic and stable ride, a fact Outside Magazine called out in the review:
