With a continued focus on sustainably made packs, Gregory’s fall 2023 collection features updated duffel bags and ski packs designed for skiers, travelers and all adventure seekers in between
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (Jan. 31, 2023) /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Gregory Mountain Products, a longtime leader in backpacks and active travel gear, redesigns its duffel collections and launches two new ski packs in fall 2023. The updated Alpaca and Supply Duffels offer rugged new travel features and a revised design for hauling gear. In the ski category, Gregory introduces two brand-firsts; Verte, a resort-specific ski pack with an elastic hipbelt for uninhibited movement on the descent, and the Women’s Targhee, Gregory’s first women’s specific backcountry ski pack.
Updates to the Alpaca Duffel reflect the brand’s commitment to sustainability, and thoughtful design details for stress free travel. The water-resistant TPU coating and 40% recycled 900D polyester keeps your gear safe, and travel-friendly design features spare no detail. An expandable zippered end pocket separates your dirty clothes or shoes from your clean, and a bonus packing cube doubles as the duffel’s packing and storage. The removable shoulder straps are comfortable and easy-to-use, and interior mesh pockets keep your travel essentials organized.
The lighter yet equally durable Supply Duffel is tougher than ever with a 40% recycled 600D polyester. Additional design details for 2023 include padded tuck-away shoulder straps for carrying heavy loads, and large T-grip zipper pullers for easy access to your gear. For storage, the duffel packs down into its front zippered pocket. For adventures of all sizes, both the Alpaca and Supply Duffels come in four capacities ranging from 40 liters to 120 liters. And by utilizing a lifecycle analysis tool, Gregory was able to reduce the carbon footprint of each new duffel by 56% (Alpaca 60) to 59% (Supply 65).
Gregory continues to up the ante not only in travel, but in winter sports. The Verte, built for on-piste resort days, is the first of its kind in the Gregory family. The chairlift friendly design has minimal straps, and the new CloudControl flexible hipbelt offers uninhibited movement on the descent. Similar to a goggle strap, the elasticized webbing on the hipbelt stretches with the movement of your hips while providing support for your lower back. The backpanel sheds snow to prevent build up, and diagonal and A-frame ski and snowboard carry options open up opportunities in the side country. The Verte is available in two capacities, 12 and 18 liters.
The new Women’s Targhee (available in 24 and 30 liters) is a welcome addition to the Targhee family of backcountry ski packs. The pack is designed to fit a woman’s body with a revised harness and hipbelt to properly support the load on a womens skeletal structure. The Vertflex suspension system meets the needs of skiers and riders with a perimeter alloy frame for vertical stability, while still maintaining flexibility for movement thanks to the flexible frame panel and anti-barreling cross stays. Backcountry specific details include the snow shedding backpanel, U-zip entry for easy access to your gear, diagonal and A-frame ski carry, and front avalanche safety pocket with a helmet carry. Using a life cycle analysis tool, Gregory was able to reduce the carbon footprint of each new pack by 33% (Women’s Targhee 24) to 35% (Verte 18).
The Alpaca and Supply Duffels will be available to consumers July 2023, the Verte and Women’s Targhee will be available in September 2023. For more information about Gregory and its award winning collection of backpacks and travel gear, visit GregoryPacks.com.
