Ibex Outdoor Clothing & ROMP Host Commemorative Benefit Climb up Mt. Sherman

White River Junction, VT. (July 12, 2017) — Ibex Outdoor Clothing, premium Merino wool apparel company, joins forces with The Range of Motion Project (ROMP), a nonprofit organization that provides prosthetic and orthotic care to those without access to these services, to host a benefit climb up Mt. Sherman on July 23, in commemoration for the 27th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life. Ibex and ROMP are inviting people to enjoy a day in the great outdoors, climbing a beautiful 14,000 foot peak to celebrate the Americans protected by the ADA, but also recognize those who are in need of prosthetic services throughout the world.

“ROMP’s motive is fueled by the cause that individuals are not disabled because of a missing limb, but because of a missing prosthetic device,” said ROMP’s Director of Events and Outreach, Lauren Panasewicz. “Our goal to Climb Mt. Sherman is to generate more awareness around this important cause that can directly help so many in need not only in America, but worldwide.”

The climb is open to the public. To join, please register at the Crowdrise event page: https://www.crowdrise.com/ibex. The $40 registration fee is a donation to ROMP. For every person who registers for the climb, Ibex will include a pair of hiker socks for each participant.
