East Coast Apparel Brand Rallies to Help its Extended West Coast Surf Family

Manahawkin, NJ (February 26, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Jetty, the East Coast surf-inspired apparel brand with a growing presence in the outdoor and active lifestyle markets, is proud to announce its Unite + Rebuild California Wildfire Relief campaign—directed by its non-profit division, Jetty Rock Foundation—has donated $20,000 to support California communities affected by January’s devastating wildfires.

Jetty has a long history of coming to the aid of communities in crisis that extends back two decades. The brand’s latest charitable initiative featured a special edition Unite + Rebuild t-shirt and hooded sweatshirt, printed in New Jersey by Jetty INK, that was sold through the brand’s website and at select retail partners, with 100% of profits benefitting those impacted by the Los Angeles-area wildfires. $10,000 has been donated to the Los Angeles County Lifeguard Association with an additional $10,000 donated to the veteran-led humanitarian organization, Team Rubicon.

“When we saw the devastation affecting California, particularly Los Angeles, we knew right away we had to launch another Unite + Rebuild campaign to support the West Coast,” said Kyle Gronostajski, Environmental Director of the Jetty Rock Foundation. “We promptly mobilized our team to design, print, sell, and fulfill hundreds of orders while simultaneously tapping our network to identify, evaluate, and collaborate with appropriate aid organizations. We are pleased that this initiative allows us to provide assistance to the LA County Lifeguard Association and Team Rubicon, both of whom are doing valuable work on the frontlines.”

Fundraising and assistance have been a core pillar of Jetty since Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc on the New Jersey coastline in 2012. Leveraging direct experience and insights gained over time, both the brand and its non-profit are adept at efficiently organizing, collecting, and distributing funds to those in need. To date, Jetty has donated just shy of $2.5 million to numerous individuals, businesses, and organizations requiring support, galvanizing aid through its dedicated customer base and extensive network of industry contacts.

“On behalf of the more than 900 men and women of the LA County Lifeguard Association, I want to express our deep gratitude to Jetty and the Jetty Rock Foundation for assisting our members who lost their homes while safeguarding their communities,” said Greg Crum, President of the Los Angeles County Lifeguard Association. “Many people don’t know, but our LA County Lifeguards were integral to the fire response in LA, assisting with evacuations, setting up triage stations, rendering medical aid to residents and firefighters during the firefight, and more. With over 45 members affected by the fires, our lifeguard family has been dramatically impacted, but the way the beach and surf communities have come together to help our members has been truly inspiring.”

“Whether East Coast or West Coast, it’s imperative we support each other during tough times,” continued Jeremy DeFilippis, Co-Founder, Partner, and CEO of Jetty. “It’s inspiring to witness surfers helping surfers. Through Jetty, we feel very fortunate we can contribute to these efforts. We’re proud to support our friends in California who led the charge on battling the fires and are now aiding in recovery efforts.”
