Products will be on display at the Kelty booth (#42031-UL) at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2019 in Denver, June 8 – 10, and available online and at specialty retail beginning spring 2020.
Cosmic 20 Synthetic Sleeping Bag
The popularity of the top-selling Cosmic Down Sleeping Bag led to the creation of its sister, the Cosmic Synthetic Sleeping Bag, built for backpacking with comfort and ease. Made with new CirroLoft synthetic insulation for lightweight, compressible warmth, its features include an environmentally and health friendly PFC-free DWR coating, a natural fit spacious footbox and a handy stash pocket. It is available in Cosmic 0 Regular ($119.95) and Long ($129.95), Cosmic 20 Regular and Women’s ($99.95), Long ($109.95) and Cosmic 40 in Regular ($89.95) and Long ($99.95).
The Kush Sleeping Bag
Knowing that versatility is essential for spontaneous road trips and van life adventures, the Kush Sleeping Bag may be used as a traditional sleeping bag, as a comforter or as a pillow. Two Kush Sleeping Bags may be zipped together to create a double-wide blanket or sleeping bag for two. The Cozy CloudLoft™️ Insulation and spacious foot box mean users have a greater degree of comfort. The unique pin-tuck design keeps beds looking like the comforts of home. The MSRP is $89.95 (Regular) and $99.95 (Long).
Tallboy Tent
Providing quick set up for outdoor enthusiasts and those new to camping, Kelty’s Tallboy Tent features: a dome ceiling for standup living space; fiberglass X- pole construction for quick assembly; and a shark mouth storage duffel for easy pack-up. The Tallboy Tent is available in two sizes, for four ($149.95) or six people ($229.95). This tent is ideal for group or family adventure.
Redwing Pack
Amplifying the history of Kelty’s legendary, quality packs, the Redwing 50 ($129.95) now includes: Fit-Pro™️ quick torso adjustment system for easy and custom sizing; an advanced perimeter frame
for superb stability; and the Redwing’s signature wing pockets with pass-through functionality. The AMP-Flow ventilated back panel keeps consumers cool by allowing more air through the pack. The updated series includes the Redwing 50 Women’s, Redwing 36 and Redwing 36 Women’s ($99.95) and the Redwing 22 ($69.95).
Russ Rowell, Kelty’s senior vice president and general manager, noted, “These legacy products are enhanced with new technology to keep consumers comfortable wherever their adventures take them. We’ve continued the tradition of the Redwing series and made them even more ideal for trail or travel.”
Kelty will celebrate what would have been Dick Kelty’s 100th birthday at OR selling a limited-edition Kelty Pack ($50), modeled after the original Mockingbird Pack in classic green, with proceeds going to the Sierra Club, one of Dick’s favorite organizations. In the beginning, Kelty spent little money on advertising and most the company’s referrals came from members of the club who read articles recommending the pack in the club’s newsletters.
The pack features a signature Dick Kelty signature metal tag and packs are numbered from 1-100. The first pack will be going to Nena Kelty, Dick’s wife, who currently lives in California.
