May 10, 2022
Old Fort, N.C. (May 10, 2022)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Kitsbow has announced a new partnership with the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA), one of the oldest mountain bike organizations in the United States, which works in six states and is supported by 8,000 members.
The premium apparel manufacturer is offering a special edition version of its wool Icon shirt, Merino wool Lory top for women, and Merino wool Escalator top for men so all can celebrate and represent the 35th anniversary of NEMBA.
The Kitsbow NEMBA collection features a 35th Anniversary logo, and the garments are available in a wide variety of fits and sizes for both men and women.
Kitsbow will give back 25% of the proceeds selling these special edition garments to NEMBA in the form of a charitable donation, supporting more advocacy, stewardship and mountain bike community building in the New England region.
“We are proud of the decades of work and community support NEMBA has provided the rider community, and this is right in line with our own work as a public benefit corporation owned by the employees,” said David Billstrom, Kitsbow CEO.
“This opportunity to collaborate with Kitsbow, an organization that shares our values of community, sustainability and advocacy, is something we couldn’t pass up,” explained Mick Ferraro, director of membership and outreach at NEMBA. “We’re stoked to share this amazing apparel with our NEMBA community to commemorate our 35th Anniversary.”
NEMBA’s 8,000 members have provided 30,000 hours of volunteer work for hundreds of trail and maintenance projects. The group provides education, training, and financial grants for trail projects and operates 32 chapters across six states.
This summer, Flow2Fest will offer programming for all levels of riders at some of New England’s best riding spots. In August, the NEMBA Fest will celebrate all things summer and mountain biking in Carrabassett Valley, Maine.
The Kitsbow NEMBA collection–along with all of Kitsbow’s clothing offerings–are made one at a time by skilled artisans at Kitsbow’s facility in Old Fort, North Carolina. Kitsbow makes the Icon, Escalator, and Lory shirts in the precise size, color, and fit after it is ordered, which reduces waste and unnecessary products.
The Icon features Pendleton Woolen Mills fabric and is one of Kitsbow’s most popular pieces–perfect for cool mountain bike rides or trail building sessions. The men’s Escalator and women’s Lory long sleeve tops are both made from Merino wool, which wicks moisture away from the skin and provides excellent temperature regulation.
