Kitsbow Unveils Updated Haskell Mountain Bike Short
July 8, 2021
Available now for pre-order, this new short will soon be sewn in Old Fort, N.C.
Old Fort, N.C. (July 8, 2021)– Kitsbow, maker of premium cycling clothing and accessories, is now accepting pre-orders for its updated and fan-favorite Haskell mountain bike short. Leading the outdoor apparel industry in lean manufacturing, Kitsbow artisans will be sewing the Haskell Short one at a time at its factory in Old Fort, North Carolina. Full production begins in August, and orders are filled on a first come, first served basis in the made-to-order model.
The Haskell Short will now be made in two inseam lengths for the first time–8-inches and 11-inches–to offer more choice and give customers exactly what they want. This new short is tailored to be comfortably fitted but not tight, with a soft but virtually indestructible stretch fabric that allows for more freedom of movement.
“We can offer our customers more choices because our apparel is made to each order,” explains David Billstrom, CEO of Kitsbow. “We’re making every garment to your size, color preference, and length; and then delivering them. The trade-off is that we serve each order as it arrives, so you’ll need to get in line right now,” he adds.
Additional updates to the short include a new front button closure for a more secure fit around the waist and reflective piping on both side seams for enhanced visibility. The new Haskell Short is available in three colorways: Wild Oak, Dark Olive, and Dry Grey, and will retail for $195.
The pre-order is limited to two per customer, and can be ordered now here.
Not only does Kitsbow manufacture in the U.S. to keep jobs here and support a sustainable economy, but the made-to-order method helps ensure a more sustainable approach to the apparel industry. Kitsbow doesn’t scrap unsold clothes, because the company only makes clothes that are ordered — in precisely the right color, size, and fit for each customer. TrailCycled is the term Kitsbow uses to describe the entire cycle — Made To Order, Less Waste™. The reasoning is circular, to minimize its footprint, maximize use, and thus conserve resources.
