Oregon Company Eyes Glamping Industry Boom In 2021

Boulder, CO (February 2020) – Life inTents, one of the nation’s leaders in sales and rentals of luxury bell tents, announced today that it has named Boulder-based Meteorite PR as its public relations firm of record as it continues to broaden its domestic footprint in 2021 and capture a larger market share of the rapidly expanding glamping industry.

Founded in 2017 in Portland, Ore., Life inTents designs, rents and sells luxury glamping cotton canvas bell tents which are the toughest and most elegant tents on the market. The company currently offers two models for rental and for sale –  the Fernweh^TM and the Stella^TM – and both models stretch more than 16 feet in diameter and are made of military grade waterproof all-natural cotton canvas. Each model can be set up in less than 20 minutes and offers 212 square feet of space, holding up to two queen beds or eight sleeping bags.

Life inTents has traditionally rented its signature glamping tents for weddings, regional music festivals and other luxury events, but the company successfully pivoted to a business model focused on tent sales during the COVID-19 pandemic last year. As a result, the company sold out its entire inventory last year and currently boasts a waiting list of more than 400 eager customers looking for solutions to social distancing during family gatherings, or simply to add a safe and luxurious destination in the comfort of their backyard.

The company plans to add larger, 19-foot models of both the Fernweh^TM and the Stella^TM to its stock this year, as well as glamping accessories. Life inTents will also continue to rent its tents for events this year depending on availability, and has begun discussions with Airbnb about placing its glamping tents on the vacation rental giant’s site.

“Our name, Life InTents, says it all. The pandemic only highlighted the need for connection, for joy delivered in beautiful but simple ways, and our need to enjoy the healing splendor of nature. We feel happy that we could deliver that to families during 2020, which was actually a very successful year,” said Brandy Lamb, who co-founded Life inTents with his wife, Alice-Kate.

“We expect to sell four times as many tents in the coming year by adding different models, but also because of the increased demand in this space. We’re very excited to deliver beautiful tents and unforgettable experiences for families, businesses, and organizations in 2021.”

Meteorite PR was founded in 2017 by PR industry veteran Eric Henderson and represents a broad collection of clients including leading outdoor footwear company Salewa, as well as Rab Equipment, the industry standard for alpine climbing apparel and technical gear. The company also works with award-winning Colorado-based cooler line RovR as well as Purist, the innovative line of stainless steel bottles.
