Lowe Alpine Introduces Award-Winning AirZone Ultra Packs for Lightweight Mountain Adventures

March 13, 2024 /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Backpack specialist Lowe Alpine (owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd.) introduces its latest innovation for Spring/Summer 2024 – the award-winning AirZone Ultra packs for lightweight mountain adventures. Representing the pinnacle of the renowned AirZone family, the AirZone Ultra are the lightest packs in this series and are available in four different sizes (26, 36, ND26, ND36), with the ND26 variant being honoured with the prestigious ISPO Award. Combining a fabric created from recycled fishing nets with a streamlined, comfortable design, the AirZone Ultra is the definitive pack for fast-hiking and ultralight summer bivis.

The AirZone Ultra’s ventilated FormKnit™ breathable suspended mesh carry system is built with a knitted construction, giving stability and flex where needed it and encouraging airflow, with a convection channel allowing excess heat to escape.

The packs’ design elements have been applied with the aim of keeping weight and bulk to a minimum. The feature set includes:

• Ultralight compression straps which help to stabilise the load,
• Easy-access, simplified drawcord entry with weather flap,
• Large front stash pocket for stowing in wet gear or an extra layer,
• Two further stretch mesh side pockets for a water bottle and other essentials,
• Two handy hipbelt pockets, one zipped and the other open, for keeping snacks within easy reach,
• Internal zipped pocket provides secure storage for valuables,
• Fits a 3L water bladder with dual exit options,
• Attachment points for stashing walking poles,
• 100D (100% recycled) Ocean High Tenacity nylon ripstop with trishield coating.
