Ten New Stories from Outdoor Culture Magazine Archive Brought to Life in Audio
North Lake Tahoe, CA /OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Following the successful launch of The Mountain Gazette Library last summer, Mountain Gazette is pleased to announce season two of our exclusive podcast presented by Stio in association with Gordini USA and Visit Sun Valley. With new narration and ten new stories from our archive, season two continues the celebration of Mountain Gazette contributors and their tales.
Listen here for the premiere episode: “30 Days in the Brooks Range” by Ned Gillete. New episodes released weekly. The podcast follows a long-form storytelling format to showcase stories from Mountain Gazette’s archive of issues now available to readers for the first time since its initial publishing.
“Together, host and producer Jon Buzdar and I listened to our readers,” said editor Mike Rogge. “For season two we brought in professional audiobook readers at a time when even the NY Times relies on A.I. generated voices. We continue to believe in the power of human creation and season two of Mountain Gazette Library is a testament to that.”
Season two is a 10-episode series that will feature ten stories from the Mountain Gazette archive. Founded in 1966, the magazine’s contributors include Ned Gillete (Episode 1), Harvey Edwards (Episode 2), Jenny Wyss Ulrich (episode 3), and more.
Other current and former Mountain Gazette contributors in the second season include Doug Peacock, Lito Tejada-Flores, Amanda Monthei, Donny O’Neil, Kade Krichko, M. John Fayhee, and Brendan Leonard.
The Mountain Gazette Library is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Listeners who may have missed the first season can catch up to all fifteen episodes from season one on mountaingazette.com. Mountain Gazette 202, our soon-to-be released print issue, will be available exclusively to subscribers this fall. Learn more at MountainGazette.com/subscribe
