CHARLOTTE – (August 29, 2017) – Building upon the example it has set of females occupying 50% of its staff and 43% of its directors, Mountain Khakis®, a leading mountain town-inspired lifestyle apparel brand, will host the first women’s networking event in the southeast region for outdoor industry professionals and job seekers, September 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at its Charlotte headquarters. The event is being held in partnership with Camber Outdoors, an organization that promotes women’s advancement in the outdoor industry. Rebecca Wofford, a family law attorney in Charlotte, will present lessons learned about building her family business, Woodford Law, and balancing her global nonprofit The Lunch Project.

Also in the Charlotte office are Amy Wilson, director of information technology and operations, Erin Hoffarth, marketing manager and Jeanne Musto, customer service manager.
“Charlotte’s business community has been positively impacted by female leaders and sets a great example for cities across the U.S.,” said Payne. “Mountain Khakis is committed to build this community and lead the conversation around nurturing women’s leadership roles in the workplace. It is our responsibility to support women as they enter and grow in today’s workplace, giving them the tools that they need to excel.”
Wofford is the founder of a local and global nonprofit The Lunch Project, operating in Charlotte and Tanzania. The Lunch Project implements and financially supports community-run lunch programs in public primary schools to stimulate economic development in a sustainable and culturally-sensitive manner.
