Mystery Ranch Partners with Carryology to Build a Limited-Edition Assault for the Backpack Aficionado

Bozeman, Mt. (March 23, 2020) – MYSTERY RANCH, the industry-leading pack company built on a heritage of comfortable load carriage, function and durability for people who have a mission to accomplish, announced today the release of the Carryology Assault 24L pack, a customized, go-anywhere pack that was designed in collaboration with media partner, Carryology. While the pack is only available online in the U.S with a limited run of 300, fifty additional packs will be sold at retail at the MYSTERY RANCH Harajuku flagship store in Tokyo, Japan.

Carryology, a media platform devoted to “exploring better ways to carry” (a.k.a. packs and bags), affectionately refers to the project as “the birth of a unicorn.” The introduction of the Carryology Assault 24L comes after three years of development, but the idea was first conceptualized nearly a decade ago when the two organizations first began working together.

“I’m not sure how, or exactly when, but we started to pay attention to a bunch of fellow bag nerds that had started a site called Carryology,” reflected Dana Gleason III, product manager for the Outdoor and Hunting categories for MYSTERY RANCH. “Early on, my favorite pieces were all about the upper level theories of what works best for specific types of bags, so you can imagine how great it was when Mystery Ranch and Carryology connected in person. They have always done an amazing job at digging deep into the world of packs, bags, and all things carry, and they’ve created a community of which the Ranch will always be a part of.”

With the contoured, Arc pockets on both sides featuring internal organization, the deep-dish lid pocket and floating padded computer sleeve with PALS webbing for MOLLE attachment, there isn’t any shortage of organization.
