New Replacement Canopies and Slide Toppers from Velarium

ELKHART, Ind., October 20, 2023 – Velarium, an AIRXCEL® brand, announced its new line of replacement canopies and slide toppers. The products were displayed at Airxcel’s 2023 OEM New Product Showcase, which took place October 18-19 at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana.
“Velarium’s replacement canopies are designed as direct-fit replacements for Dometic, Carefree, and Lippert awnings as well as Velarium,” said Jeff Cowan, Business Unit Manager of Velarium. “With availability in a wide range of sizes and colors, we have great options for RV dealers and service centers to offer customers who need to replace their awnings.”
In addition to the aftermarket replacement canopies, Velarium also launched a new slide topper at the Airxcel Product Showcase available for OEMs at the time of build. Velarium slide toppers are made with premium 13.5 oz, 3-ply vinyl that is 20% tougher than standard competitive fabrics and are both cold-crack and mildew resistant. With 22 sizes available, the Velarium slide topper can be a direct-fit replacement for comparable Carefree, Dometic or Solera products.
The company also debuted a new innovation for their awning line, the Velocity Switch, available as an upgrade to a standard motor unit. The Velocity Switch effectively cuts the extend and retract time of the awning in half.
