Passionate Trail Running Teams of Two Encouraged to Apply
Flagstaff, Ariz. (Jan. 22, 2020) – Kahtoola, creator of award-winning MICROspikes® and NANOspikes® footwear traction, wants to let all trail runners who take their fun seriously know that the nomination window is now open for the Kahtoola Team Giveaway – for two lucky runners to run in the 14th annual TransRockies™ Run.
Limited to 350 participants, the 2020 TransRockies™ Run is an epic 120-mile, six-day trail running race through the pristine Rocky Mountains of Colorado starting on August 3 in Buena Vista and concluding on August 8 in Beaver Creek.
“The TransRockies™ Run is one of our favorite events each year and we love giving away entry tickets to a deserving pair of runners who might not otherwise have the chance to participate,” said Danny Giovale, Founder and Owner at Kahtoola. “The race is an insanely positive, life-changing event and selecting a unique team to represent Kahtoola helps us keep ultrarunning both super fun and weird!”
Each summer, the race embraces runners who traverse 20,000 feet in elevation, enjoy wild scenery and share in an epic adventure. Kahtoola’s team giveaway nomination window is open until April 30.
Teams are encouraged to be thoughtful and offbeat with their nomination application. Once a team is nominated, they can enlist friends, family and beyond to support their nomination by filling out the online application with a good reason why their team should be sponsored by Kahtoola.
Kahtoola brand ambassador and endurance athlete Rob Krar will help select the winning team in early May 2020. The winning team will receive free race entry (valued at $1999), Kahtoola embroidered race clothing and lodging the night before the race. Air travel is not included. Nominate your favorite trail running duo and learn more here or check out Kahtoola’s Keep Ultrarunning Weird video.
