Oboz Kicks Off the Oboz Everywhere Tour in New York City

Footwear brand to host retailer events, local hikes and more the week of June 3.

Bozeman, Mont., (May 29, 2024)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – The first week of June, the Oboz Everywhere Tour heads to New York City to host a number of brand, retailer, and community activations to support its area retailers and engage with new consumers and passionate Oboz users, while celebrating the hiking season. Events include community hikes, boot fitting sessions at retailers, and in-store presentations and happy hours. Following the New York event Oboz will host similar events in Seattle and greater Los Angeles.

Oboz is leading off the week in New York by hosting a hike with Public Lands at Bethpage State Park on Tuesday June 4, at 5:30pm. On Wednesday, June 5, Oboz is hosting an event at Paragon Sports. Starting at 5pm Oboz’s expert boot fitters will be on hand to help customers find the best boot for their needs. At 6:30 pm Oboz has teamed up with Mappy Hour to host Oboz ambassador Derick Lugo, aka Mr. Fabulous, who will share his experiences of completing the Appalachian Trail and Continental Divide Trail. On Thursday, June 6, the Oboz team heads across the Hudson River to Paramus, NJ, to host a boot-fitting evening at Campmor from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Along with assisting customers find the right boot, there will be a food truck, beverages, and raffle prizes.

Oboz closes out its takeover of New York with a ”sold out”, free hiking event at Mohonk Preserve in New Paltz, NY, with Mappy Hour on Saturday, June 8. With registration attendees receive complimentary transportation to and from Mohonk, an Oboz swag bag, group lead hikes, and treated to a light catered lunch from Essie’s Restaurant and complimentary drinks provided by TINCUP Mountain Whiskey, FitVine Wines, Pacifico, and Waterloo Sparkling Water.

The week of June 18th, the Oboz team heads to California for a series of hikes and clinics with REI locations in Burbank, and Rancho Cucamonga. Oboz will finish out the week at the Highlander Big Bear event where the Oboz team will be managing a check point and sprinkling some trail magic along the way.

In late July, the Oboz Everywhere tour to moves to Seattle where the Outreach and Education team will host clinics at area retailers and will team up with Mappy Hour for an evening event at the Seattle REI location on July 24. Oboz will also partner with Mappy Hour for hosted hikes during the Timber! Outdoor Music Festival where Oboz is the official footwear partner.
