Original Series Features Five Teams Competing to be the Best

DENVER (August 1, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Overlanders is an Outdoor Channel original series airing on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. ET featuring five teams competing to be the best. This unique vehicle dependent survival competition demonstrates each team’s ability to navigate some of earth’s most treacherous terrain. They’ll only be equipped with a one of a kind 4WD vehicle and whatever they can fit inside it – in true overlanding style. Along the way each team will confront a series of challenges in a winner-take-all competition to the finish.

One of the teams outfitted their vehicle on a budget. Fred Ashmore and Billy Taff found a 1993 Mitsubishi Pajero abandoned in a yard, fixed it up with parts they had on-hand or could find on Facebook Marketplace, and off they went to compete. “I love four-wheeling, camping and overlanding – putting all of these together is the best thing ever,” shared Taff.

“We wanted to do a budget build. And if we can do it in this, then pretty much anybody can do overlanding in anything,” stated Ashmore.
