New accessory and paddle collections elevate Perception Kayaks’ recreational touring and kayaking fishing experience

GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 29, 2017) – Perception Kayaks, the leader in recreational, touring and fishing kayaks for more than 40 years, today announced the launch of its all-new accessories and ‘Made in the USA’ paddle collections.

Perception’s new accessories and paddles are intuitively designed to elevate the kayak experience from creating easier transport to improving the time spent on the water.

Perception Kayaks answered the call with a collection of modern, clean accessories for an efficient, easy-to-paddle experience. 

Perception’s ‘Made in the USA’ paddle collection includes the Pescador Paddle, Universal Paddle and Hi Life Paddle—bringing well-constructed value to kayak anglers and recreation paddlers.

The Pescador Paddle allows anglers to paddle faster, farther and more comfortably thanks to its many performance-enhancing design characteristics. The Made in the USA paddle combines an aluminum shaft with fiberglass-reinforced blades for strong performance and reliable durability.

An adjustable, push button ferrule allows anglers to increase the paddle’s length by up to 20 cm, from 230 cm to 250 cm, to accommodate for multiple seat positions and stroke styles. Additional performance features, such as a line hook, measuring tape graphic, and moss camo color scheme maximize stealth, reducing the risk of spooking the fish. $99.99 USD.

Perception is also releasing two new recreation paddles. The Universal Paddle makes it easier for paddlers to paddle faster, farther and more efficiently thanks to its versatile and balanced blade design. The well made, price point recreation paddle includes fiberglass reinforced polypro blades for lightweight and durable performance. An adjustable, push button ferrule system allows paddlers to adjust the paddle’s feather angle from 0° to 60° right or left. $79.99 USD.

The new Hi Life Paddle is designed to work in tandem with Perception’s best-selling Hi Life 11.0, a highly stable, sit-on-top kayak that can be paddled like a kayak or a SUP. Perception created the adjustable paddle to work synergistically with the SUP-influenced kayak. It features a symmetric SUP blade and an adjustable length aluminum shaft to fit virtually any paddler whether sitting or standing (215-230cm kayak, 74-80” SUP). $74.99 USD. 

Safety 

The Paddle & Rod Leash securely tethers your paddle, fishing rod or other accessories for a worry-free trip on the water. It conveniently clips to your PFD, kayak or SUP to keep items close at hand. The adjustable Velcro attachment loop accommodates items of various sizes and dimensions. It is 114cm long when slack and costs $19.99 USD.

Transportation 

The Large Cart With Foam Wheels easily transports your kayak to and from the water. Its compact folding design makes for convenient storage and has flat-free foam tires filled with all-terrain tread. The anodized coating on aluminum frame is strong and corrosion resistant. At 27.5” x 15.5” x 6.5”, it’s capable of carrying kayaks up to 165 lbs.

Outfitting

The patent-pending Solo Mount 1” and 1.5” design allows you to customize your Perception kayak with the latest RAM® ball-mounted accessories. The mount simply screws into molded recess on specific Perception kayak models, no drilling or installation hardware required. Both sizes are compatible with the Sound, Hi Life, Pescador, Pescador Tandem, Pescador Pro, Pescador Pilot, Striker and accessories. The 1 1/2” solo mount is $19.99 USD and 1” is $15.99 USD.

The patent-pending Flush Mount ROD-X extends the length of your molded in rod holder to better secure your fishing rod. No drilling, cutting or installation hardware required, the tapered insert design for a secure fit on a variety of models. It is compatible with the Sound, Pescador, Pescador Pro, Swifty and Odyssey. $17.99 USD.
