June 16, 2021
Outdoor cooking equipment brand aims to bring more people together over food with new Campfire Collection stoves, a new everyday accessory collection, updated and new backpacking options
LOUISVILLE, Colo. (June 16, 2021) — Primus, the Swedish outdoor equipment brand known since 1892 for its innovative cooking products, announces a 2022 collection designed to make cooking and eating in the outdoors better than ever. With versatile new additions to the popular Campfire Collection, as well as updated and new equipment in the Backpacking Collection, and the introduction of the Fritid Collection for everyday use, outdoor gourmets and people on-the-go can take their food and beverage experience to the next level.
“At Primus, we’ve always believed that food just tastes better outside and that the best memories and stories come alive when people gather to share a meal,” says Becky Day, marketing manager for Primus. “Our commitment to making the outdoor cooking experience an enjoyable one is ever-present with the launch of our new and updated product collections for Spring 2022.”
Since its introduction in 2017, the Campfire Collection has been sought after by car campers, picnickers, backyard adventurists, and outdoor foodies alike. Boasting Swedish design and the premium performance for which Primus is known, two new stoves will join the collection for 2022.
The Alika Stove (MSRP $274.95) features large and small burners with 11-inch cook surfaces for varied flame options and precise heat control, a removable lid that allows 360-degree cooking access with oak lath details for a place to set hot pans, and a webbing handle for easy transport. A smaller sibling to the Alika, the Moja Stove (MSRP $179.95) features a single burner design with a removable lid, a low-profile, lightweight size for ease of packing and an oak-trimmed handle for easy carrying.
Designed for backcountry adventurers who value reliability, efficiency and capability, the Backpacking Collection receives updates to two products to help elevate cooking in remote places.
The Lite XL Stove (MSRP $139.95) has been updated to incorporate bio-based plastics in the pot lid and fuel canister foot, as well as a pot sleeve made of G-1000 Eco (recycled polyester and organic cotton) lined with cork for excellent pot insulation. The 1-liter pot features a removable handle and integrated pour spout, while a new wire control knob provides precise flame adjustment. If you want to upgrade the size of your current Lite stove, the pot is sold separately (MSRP $59.95). Rejoining the collection for Spring 2022, the updated LiTech Frying Pans (MSRP $39.95-49.95) are offered in two sizes, 8.5-inch and 10-inch diameters, which feature hard-anodized aluminum construction to be light and durable, a non-stick ceramic coating for easy cooking and cleaning, and a lockable, folding stainless steel handle to take up little space in a cooking kit.
Joining the Primus family of everyday accessories for Spring 2022, the Fritid Collection provides useful food and beverage storage solutions for the office to the outdoors.
Lunchbreaks on the trail, at the office or at school are made easy with the Preppen Vacuum Jug (MSRP $39.95), a 0.55-liter vacuum insulated food container with a screw-top lid and a wide-mouth opening for easy eating. For those taking drinks on the go, the Koppen Mug (MSRP $24.95) is offered in 0.3-liter double-wall option with a handle and sip-through lid for easily enjoying warm or cold beverages. For travelers that want a sealed beverage container, the Slurken Vacuum Mug (MSRP $34.95) is offered in 0.4-liter size with vacuum insulation, a sealable sip-through lid and a slim bottle profile for easy storage in a backpack side pocket. Every Fritid Collection piece is built with powder-coated, food-grade stainless steel, is available in four color options, and features cork details for screw-top lid models.
The Primus Spring 2022 collection will be available in March 2022 directly from Primus.us, and through select retailers. Please direct media inquiries to Senior Account Manager Eric Hockman at eric.hockman@rygr.us.
