Primus Expands ‘Service for a Reason’ Program to All In-Line Stoves
January 12, 2023
Swedish cooking equipment brand continues to push sustainability standards by offering free repair parts for all in-line backpacking stoves, campfire stoves and grills
LOUISVILLE, Colo. (Jan. 12, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Primus announces an expansion to its popular Service for a Reason initiative in 2023, now offering free repair parts for Primus campfire stoves and grills from February 1 through March 31. With the intention of extending the life of stoves, keeping broken stoves out of landfills and fostering the sustainable mindset of repairing gear versus buying new, Primus now offers customers free repair parts for all in-line backpacking stoves, multi-fuel stoves, double-burner stoves and open-fire cooking grills.
“At Primus, we prioritize serviceability in our design process to ensure that our stoves run at peak efficiency and performance. Our hopes are Primus stoves become lifelong companions that can be passed down to the next adventurer for generations to come,” says Eric Svartström, head of research and development at Primus. “The success of the program over the past two years has allowed us to play a direct role in keeping stoves out of landfills globally, and we’re excited to continue building this initiative by extending the Service For a Reason program to include all of our larger inline stoves.”
Since the inception of the program in 2020, Primus has delivered hundreds of parts to customers, effectively keeping those stoves in operation and out of landfills. With the expansion of the Service For a Reason program, Primus hopes to hear from more users in 2023 by promoting the campaign extensively through social media channels and expanding customer touch points to provide more people the opportunity to repair and tune up their stoves.
