December 5, 2023
Crested Butte, Co. (December 5, 2023)/OUTDOOR SPORTSWIRE/ – Romp Skis, makers of handmade custom and stock skis, is excited to announce the Oso 105, a redesign of the Oso 106. Designed for skiers who like to ski aggressively and spend most of their time off-piste, and built to be smooth and powerful in steep and variable conditions.
“In redesigning the classic Romp 106 we wanted to maintain the ski’s charging character while adding playfulness,” said Morgan Weinberg, Founder of Romp Skis. “Using our home mountain of Crested Butte’s rocky, steep terrain as our testing ground, and working with Western State University’s Freeride Team, we created a completely redesigned shape that met our goals.”
The Oso 105 is confident at high speed, but remains quick and nimble in complicated terrain.
Featuring increased taper and rocker in the tip and tail and a 20-meter side cut radius at 188cm. for a ski that can bounce around in tight chutes and maintain stability when you need it most. The Romp Ready version will be built with a stout ash/aspen core and additional dampening material for a solid and predictable experience. The Oso 105 is the new decisive executive for the rugged unknown. (MSRP: $849.00)
